Pre-Construction Luxury Residence | $1,500,000
3 Bedrooms | 3.5 Bathrooms | 3,435 Heated Sq Ft | Private 2-Car Garage | Rooftop Terrace | No HOA
New construction in Historic Ybor City is a rare opportunity. At 1819 E. 5th Avenue, modern luxury meets the history, architecture and unmistakable character of one of Tampa's most distinctive neighborhoods.
Thoughtfully designed for modern living while respecting its Ybor surroundings, this three-story residence offers something particularly difficult to duplicate: the privacy of a single-family home, a private rear-entry two-car garage, rooftop outdoor living and no HOA - all within Historic Ybor City.
The residence was designed by SOL Design Studio, LLC and is planned to be constructed by MION Construction Company, Inc., with Jason Campagnolo, Principal. Additional project-team information appears in the Frequently Asked Questions below.
1819 E. 5th Avenue presents an uncommon opportunity: an independent single-family residence within YC-6 Ybor Community Commercial zoning, creating potential flexibility for a buyer interested in a live-work setting, subject to City of Tampa confirmation of the buyer's specific proposed use. The property is also located within a Federal Opportunity Zone.
The property's location within a Federal Opportunity Zone may present potential tax-planning opportunities for a qualifying buyer or investment structure. Buyers interested in Opportunity Zone benefits should consult an attorney and tax professional who specialize in Qualified Opportunity Zone matters before making investment decisions.
The property is also within Ybor City's redevelopment area. Possible programs or opportunities may be available to qualifying buyers, business owners or projects. No CRA incentive or eligibility is represented or guaranteed. Buyers should independently verify current programs and eligibility with the City of Tampa.
Buyers contemplating a business, mixed-use, live-work or other nonresidential use should verify their specific proposed use and development requirements directly with the City of Tampa before proceeding.

Come See Where You Could Willingly Waste Your Time
Picture a quiet morning with coffee on the rooftop, an evening cigar as Ybor settles in below, and a home that feels connected to a neighborhood with a story of its own.
Step outside and you're in a neighborhood that refuses to be ordinary. Historic brick streets, morning coffee, hand-rolled cigars, restaurants, art, architecture and nightlife are part of everyday life here. The fare-free TECO Line Streetcar connects Historic Ybor City with the Channel District, Water Street and Downtown Tampa.
Tampa Bay earned the affectionate nickname "Champa Bay" during an extraordinary run of championship sports. From Historic Ybor City, major-league sports and entertainment are part of the Tampa lifestyle. Benchmark International Arena and downtown events fit naturally into an urban trip by streetcar, scooter, bike or rideshare, while Raymond James Stadium and Tampa's future Major League Baseball district are reached by car.
Historic Ybor City's remarkable past is not being replaced - a new chapter is being written around it. Major investment in housing, health care, offices, retail, transportation, public spaces and waterfront development is expanding the possibilities surrounding this National Historic Landmark District. At 1819 E. 5th Avenue, a buyer has the opportunity to own new construction in the heart of Historic Ybor while becoming part of the new history taking shape around it.
Gasworx, led by developer Darryl Shaw, is transforming approximately 50 acres between Historic Ybor and the Channel District into a walkable mixed-use district designed to reconnect Ybor with Downtown Tampa.
Tampa General Hospital and Casa Ybor have announced plans for a new hospital, clinic and medical office building in East Ybor City, with primary and urgent care services planned as part of the expanding Tampa Medical & Research District. Tampa General has also opened a 32,000-square-foot innovation center at 1205 E. Fifth Avenue.
The project near Palm Avenue is Shaw's broader East Ybor redevelopment proposal. It includes roughly 30 acres and nearly 60 parcels, with concepts for residential, office, retail, hotel and public-space uses. The plan includes the former Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office headquarters property at 2008 E. 8th Avenue and extends into the area south of Palm Avenue. It is a proposed redevelopment and remains subject to governmental review and approvals.
Ybor Harbor is a proposed approximately 33-acre mixed-use waterfront development led by Darryl Shaw. The vision includes residences, retail, restaurants, hotels and offices. Tampa's CRA approved $35 million in 2026 toward public infrastructure associated with the project, including underground utilities, roadway networks and a marine seawall.
The Ybor Harbor vision has also included a proposed 15,000-seat waterfront stadium for Tampa Bay Sun FC, Tampa's Division I professional women's soccer club. The stadium concept is envisioned as a year-round venue for professional soccer and other events. Ybor Harbor and the stadium remain future development plans, and components remain subject to planning, approvals and development.
Historic 7th Avenue. The Columbia. The TECO Streetcar. Gasworx. Downtown Tampa. Water Street. The Tampa Riverwalk. Benchmark International Arena. Tampa General's growing Ybor presence. Ybor Harbor and the proposed Tampa Bay Sun FC waterfront stadium. Raymond James Stadium and the future Tampa Bay Rays ballpark are a drive away. This is urban Tampa living with a distinctly Historic Ybor City address.
